Budget priced GPS Navigators from Garmin offers great value and all the functionality required to plan routes and safely reach destinations. Touch screen displays and speech recognition are available on more expensive systems but these functions are not a requirement for navigation although they can be very popular with the motorist.

When a driver is using these GPS systems the unit can also be used for pedestrian navigation. The units with the pedestrian navigation option is available on the systems for use on cars, bikes, trucks, marine or aviation.

The budget priced navigation systems for cars offer a number of useful functions and are pre-loaded with street maps. During journeys directions are provided such as 'turn left in 50 metres then straight on for 2 miles'. There is an option which can be switched on where the street names will be spoken e. G.
